Food: Alanna's Kitchen @ Pandan Indah, Ampang

Do you enjoy Arabic food as much as I do? If you do, you should really check out Alanna's Kitchen @ Pandan Indah, Ampang. They serve a combination of fusion & arabic food here with affordable price!

Recently, as I was wondering the street around Pandan Indah for food, I came across this humble little eatery which I decided to try it out. Little did I know, the food was unexpectedly good!

Do not be deceived about the look of this eatery, it has a very simple looking yet cozy & comfy environment for its patrons. Service here is good and most importantly, it is very suitable for friends and family gatherings!

Let me take you through my dinner session :)

Arabic Chicken Mandy
RM9.90

Started the night with this plate of "Arabic style Chicken Rice". I like the fragrant of the rice which is complimented by the well marinated chunky piece of chicken. I like the chilli on the side particularly as it is sourish and spicy which goes well with the chicken and rice.

Alana's Special Grilled Chicken
RM12.90
(Comes with a COMPLIMENTARY drinks)

A very special "edition" of Grilled chicken here which I personally thinks this could be the "healthier" choice of way of cooking compared to Arabic Chicken Mandy. Apart from being healthier, I personally finds this a little tastier too :)

Spaghetti Carbonara
RM10.90

Grilled Chicken Chop
(Choice of mushroom or black pepper sauce)
RM9.90

Tender and succulent chicken thigh that is flavourful from its marination. Both black pepper and mushroom sauce are homemade. I personally would recommend the black pepper sauce :)

Seafood Tomyam with rice and drinks
RM9.90

Affordable pot of tomyam with generous portion of clams, squids, prawns, mushrooms and various other ingredients added into it. The tomyam has a perfect combination of spicy and sour. Anyway, this is a total steal away for those seafood tomyam lovers out there!

Arabic Chicken Haneeth with rice and drinks
RM9.90

My first impression of this dish is to be rather weird as it has many different spices & ingredients mixed together in a pot. The style of this dish appears to be more Arabian and has a very fragrant combination of spices taste to it. This dish might be very subjective, those who loves spices will definitely love this pot of goodness!

Chocolate muffins

Some desserts for our palate after such hearty meal. Sweet and tasty cup cakes, however, I personally finds it a little too dry. Just a little more moist to it should do the job!

They also serve homemade cake slices here. The cake slices here are in fact one of the best selling food here at Alana's Kitchen! The cakes will replenish every 2 days! My personal favourite would be the cheesecake series! The texture and flavour of the cheesecakes compliments each other very well and does not over power one another.

RM9.90
Blueberry Cheesecake, Oreo Cheesecake, Greentea Cheesecake, Dark Forest Cheesecake

RM 8.90
Dark forest Mousse, Hazelnut Mousse

*All cakes comes with a choice of black coffee, earl grey tea or soft drinks that is available the whole day! (MORNING - NIGHT)

Food: Sen of Thai @ Damansara Uptown

Recently, I was invited for a blogger's gathering organised by Tap by Seeties. Now that I'm part of Seeties, it's fun to be able to meet and mingle with so many other bloggers especially during gatherings like that. So, if you're a blogger yourself too, come on and be part of TAP by Seeties.

Anyway, the gathering that I've attended was held at Sen of Thai, Damansara Uptown. Knowing that it'll be Thai food, I immediately agreed to go without any doubt!

While waiting for the rest of the bloggers to arrive, I decided to go round and take a few shots of the place.

The comfy and cozy surrounding suitable for friends and family gathering

You can even have a corner for yourself if you wish to have a little privacy for you and your love ones :)

It's finally time to eat! Being a foodie myself, I always look forward to times when there is food especially food that I love a lot!

A top view of everything that we had during the gathering. Next, allow me to introduce to you some of my favourites among them!

Soups

Tom Yum Goong
RM28

How can you miss this pot of tomyum especially when you're having Thai food right? This was one of the best tomyum I have ever tried here in KL. I love the perfect balance of sour and spicy and the generous amount of chickens, mushrooms and other ingredients in it. Just the bowl to satisfy your tomyum cravings!

Thai baked mussels in claypot with basil leaves
RM29

The soup taste was excellent having the perfect balance of sour and spicy which is just nice to my taste buds. The mussels was just nicely cooked as it was still chewy and nice!

Appetizers

Steamed prawn topped with lime chilli sauce
RM16

Prawn was nicely steamed as it still contain the moisture in it which makes it very bouncy & fresh. However, I personally find this dish a tad bit spicy to my likings as cut chillies are also added on the prawn for an extra "oom" to it! Be sure to remove them if you can't take spicy!

Crab Spring Roll
RM16

This has a very crispy skin on the outside complimented by some fresh crab meat as the stuffings! Eaten best with the chilli sauce dip at the side!

Yam Spring Roll
RM12

Mains

Stir fried brocolli with scallops
RM24

Chinese style stir fried brocolli with generous portion of scallops to topped it off!

Deep Fried Siakap with Signature Thai Chilli sauce
RM55

I've always like deep fried fishes especially more when they are fresh! In addition to the crispy skin on the surface, you can also taste the sweetness and freshness of  the flesh beneath it. A dish totally to go for! Complimented well with the Signature Thai Chilli Sauce which gives it some extra boost to it!

Sizzling beef with black pepper sauce
RM20

Cranberry Pineapple fried rice
RM16

Classic Pad Thai
RM15

Desserts

 Tab Tim Krob  (RM8.50)
&
Sago Honeydew(RM8.50)

Whenever I visit a Thai restaurant, I will be definitely on the look out for this dessert! Tab Tim Krob (Water Chestnut) served with shaved ice, jack fruits and soaked with sweetened coconut milk. Just refreshing!

Royal Thai Look Chop
RM12 for 6 pieces

Sunway Lost Lagoon

Sunway Lost Lagoon is finally open to the public on the 3rd of February 2016. When i got the news about Sunway Lost Lagoon, I got very excited and wanting to go as soon as possible as I absolutely love theme parks and Sunway Lagoon has successfully became many tourist & locals "to-go-to" place especially when the idea of theme parks come arise!

Discover a hidden world covering ten acres of lush tropical rainforest within a jungle previously "lost" to the public! This is how a reality as Sunway and Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) announce the opening of the first Nikelodeon themed attraction in Asia, Nikelodeon Lost Lagoon in Sunway Lagoon, Malaysia.

"Selamat Datang" to Sunway Lost Lagoon!

The launch was attended by guest of honour, Selangor Chief Minister, Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Bin Ali; Sunway Group Founder and Chairman Tan Sri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah; Tan Sri Datuk Seri Razman M. Hashim, Sunway Group deputy chairman and Mark Whitehead, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, VIMN Asia. Attendees at the launch event were privy to a showcase of fireworks and the iconic Nikelodeon green slime that marked the opening of the park to the public.

True to its name, Nikelodeon Lost Lagoon promises to be an explorer's dream right from the start. Climbing "ancient temple" steps, explorers will pass pineapple columns and intricate carvings leading all the way up to a magnificient Spongebob Squarepants structure. The adventure contnues with geysers, sprouting water cannons, walks along cascading falls, and gooey moments with the signature green slime.

No stone was left unturned in the creation of the Nikelodeon Lost Lagoon which boast 14 immersive attractions, some of which are themed with Nikelodeon's hit properties, including Spongebob Squarepants, Dora the Explorer and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Visitors to Nikelodeon Lost Lagoon can expect an exhilarating experience thanks to interactive play areas, which use the latest in reactive technology in addition to a daily signature slime event, a variety of waterslide rides, retail shops, games and a myriad of food service establishments and more!

LifeStyle: Subcision treatment (Deep Acne Scars Treatment) @ Premier Clinic, Bangsar

I have always been concerned with my acne scars as early as I started puberty few years back. As guys being guys, we are a little stubborn when we were told not to "press"/ remove/ touch those pimples that popped out during those ages. This left me with a few acne scars resulting from it.

Now that I regret doing so in the passed, I've tried using different facial products to lighten those scars of mine but it did not gave me a reasonable result.

I'm glad that I went to Premier Clinic, Bangsar recently and Dr.Elaine was the doctor in-charge recommended me for a treatment known as "Subcision". This treatment is to break the fibrous tissue formed / that is resposible for those deep acne scars that I have.

This picture which I got it out from google, basically sums up everything I say about subcission. It is a simple and safe office procedure for treatment of depressed acne scars.

Let me take you through basically the whole treatment process that I've experience :)

Had a chat with the sweet and caring Dr. Elaine about my skin condition and the suitable treatment for it.

Cleansing my face and later on some numbing cream was applied.

The numbing cream is left for 30 minutes for it to get absorbed into the skin. You'll feel a slightly cold sensation during this period.

And the treatment procedure finally commence, first and foremost, Dr. Elaine will inject a doze of anesthesia to numb the affected region. Thanks for the numbing cream earlier, this isn't pain at all. However, you'll feel something moving around there and that's all!

After injecting the anesthesia, it is followed with the Subcision procedure. It is not painful honestly, you'll feel a needle moving under your skin and you may sometimes feel a little ticklish. That being said, you may also encounter some bruises and swelling depending on how sensitive your skin is. However, this may only last for a good 3 days before it subside. The whole procedure only takes about 20 minutes.

Before

A picture of my face is taken before the treatment.

After 2 weeks

Here's a picture of my face after 2 weeks from the treatment. There are obvious improvements for those deep scars especially on my right lower face region with this treatment. However, there are some superficial marks/scars left generally.

Thanks to Premier Clinic and Dr.Elaine for the treatment.
