LifeStyle: Subcision treatment (Deep Acne Scars Treatment) @ Premier Clinic, Bangsar

I have always been concerned with my acne scars as early as I started puberty few years back. As guys being guys, we are a little stubborn when we were told not to "press"/ remove/ touch those pimples that popped out during those ages. This left me with a few acne scars resulting from it.

Now that I regret doing so in the passed, I've tried using different facial products to lighten those scars of mine but it did not gave me a reasonable result. 

I'm glad that I went to Premier Clinic, Bangsar recently and Dr.Elaine was the doctor in-charge recommended me for a treatment known as "Subcision". This treatment is to break the fibrous tissue formed / that is resposible for those deep acne scars that I have. 

This picture which I got it out from google, basically sums up everything I say about subcission. It is a simple and safe office procedure for treatment of depressed acne scars.  

Let me take you through basically the whole treatment process that I've experience :) 

Had a chat with the sweet and caring Dr. Elaine about my skin condition and the suitable treatment for it.

Cleansing my face and later on some numbing cream was applied.

The numbing cream is left for 30 minutes for it to get absorbed into the skin. You'll feel a slightly cold sensation during this period.

And the treatment procedure finally commence, first and foremost, Dr. Elaine will inject a doze of anesthesia to numb the affected region. Thanks for the numbing cream earlier, this isn't pain at all. However, you'll feel something moving around there and that's all! 

After injecting the anesthesia, it is followed with the Subcision procedure. It is not painful honestly, you'll feel a needle moving under your skin and you may sometimes feel a little ticklish. That being said, you may also encounter some bruises and swelling depending on how sensitive your skin is. However, this may only last for a good 3 days before it subside. The whole procedure only takes about 20 minutes.

After 2 weeks

Here's a picture of my face after 2 weeks from the treatment. There are obvious improvements for those deep scars especially on my right lower face region with this treatment. However, there are some superficial marks/scars left generally.

FOOD: Chinese New Year Brunch launch @ #theBBP, Bukit Utama

SATISFY YOUR MID-MORNING HUNGER PANGS AT #theBBP

Eating great food with family and friends is a national Malaysian pastime. This makes eating and chilling out at Bukit Utama's "The BBP" the perfect location for a fabulous time. The BBP, an acronym standing for among other things - BIG BLACK PIG, BEST BBQ PIT, BEST BEER PROMO; BBP is a gastropub style restaurant with a gorgeous beer garden serving classic, mouth-watering barbecue fare specialising in pork dishes such as pork ribs and their delightful beer can chicken - known as "One Hot Chick". BBP also offers an extensive selection of local and imported beers, perfect for those after work meet-ups.

Recently they had a brunch launch which I agreed easily to attend. I liked the cozy and comfy environment here alongside with a rustic bar feel at #BBP. However, the outdoor seating is rather hot and humid in the afternoon due to the weather in Malaysia. It would be a great spot for breakfast and dinner.

If diners have specific requests, BBP's brunch menu also allows diners to get creative and build their own brunch meal. Iberico Bacon Croissant

Filled with chunky piece of bacon slices, lettuce, mayonnaise and sides of salad and fries. This was my favourite for the day as I like how generous they are with the amount of bacon given.

Spicy Pork Sandwich

A "lou sang" session is a must-have for any CNY occasion. BBP's own variation of "sang" includes pork as an added ingredient. Featuring Jamon Iberico, Bacon crackle and Crispy Pork Lard, the "chu" Sang is available for takeaway to the comfort of your own party. Half portion and full portion of the "Chu" Sang is priced at RM49 nett and RM88 nett respectively.

I couldn't agree more to this statement after dropping by this week at Fork D World, Damansara Perdana. I got to know this place from a good foodie friend of mine, Pancake Chin ( Check out his blog here at www.findingfats.com/ ). You'll see why I said this place serves unhealthy food.

A very cozy & warm environment for its patrons to enjoy their very porkilicious meal.

Here at Fork D World, you can enjoy definitely satisfy your ever-longing bacon cravings that you have! Almost everything served here is infused/ contained/ cooked with bacon or other forms of pork. (NON- HALAL)

Awesome Bacon Lou Sang

Consist of pomelo, varieties of fried yam ( red/green/orange), guava, pork lard, streaky bacon, back bacon and pork skin. Even the sauce for the Lou Sang is bacon infused! Just Wow!

Guess I do not have to explain myself further. (HAHA!). Have you tried this bacon infused lou sang? This was my first time trying out this Bacon infused Lou Sang. Fork D World made a twist to the usual Lou Sang that you get elsewhere by adding bacon strips to it. This is the first time I actually go for a second helping of Lou Sang. The 3 different fried yam and the pork lard gave it a crispy texture in addition to the shaved guava which give a sweet taste to this plate of goodness.

This is one of the best started I've ever had! Generous amount of mozarella cheese wrapped with crsipy bacon strip served together with a cherry tomato in every bite! Cheese and bacon had always compliment each other so well! Perfect!

Mains

Grilled Australian Lamb Loin

The lamb was very flavourful. With just a bite, you'll be able to know how serious does the chef takes marination into account. Texture was perfect as it was not too hard resulting from overcooked of the meat. Served with a sides of onions, and baked baby potatoes. This could easily be one of the best lamb I've ever had!

 Porky Bacon Lasagna

This is one of their new dish which are not in the menu. The bacon in the lasagna gave it a more crispy and salty taste to it which is slightly different from the usual beef or chicken lasagna.

 Carbonara

The classic Carbonara pasta topped with a raw egg yolk. This was one of my many favourites here! If you're a carbonara person like I do, make sure you give this plate a try!

Sambal Shrimp Pizza

A unique twist to the pizza variety. However, I personally felt that the taste of the sambal is over-powered by other ingredients. If you wish to have it a tad bit more spicy, perhaps you could put your request in during your order :)

A very fragrantly fried pasta with roast pork, garlic and some homemade "black" sauce. This dish reminds me of the roast pork cooked with garlic that my mom cooks back home! A comfort food for me :)

Calling to those Durian Lovers like me, this would be the best puding you'd every have! Trust me on this! Fork D World manage to bring out the richness and the flavour of this Soft Durian Puding.

I like how crispy the crust is accompanied by the warmth apple fillings in the center. It wasn't too sweet and it goes perfectly with the cooling vanilla ice cream.

This waffle has a crispy outer layer while the chewy inside was just lovely served with scoops of ice cream of your choice - either vanilla or chocolate.

Let me give you a heads up in case you're planning to drop by during Chinese New Year, that they will be closed from the 7th - 14th February. However, if you wish to have some Awesome Bacon Lou Sang during that period, you can always ring to Pre-book and collect during this period. Lifestyle: Code Name: FOX Review @ NU Sentral, Kuala Lumpur [ #TEAMSS ]

After the launch of Code Name: FOX last week, I couldn't wait to try out the room for REALS! Therefore, I called upon a few friends of mine to complete the mission to find the the "Cure" !

It was indeed one of the toughest and mind challenging escape game I've played yet far! Incorporating TV series into such reality escape game just makes it more exciting and realistic. There were many different types of puzzles during the game which require logic, creativity and most importantly TEAMWORK!

We were firstly brief by our game master, Kelvin about the rules and regulations of the game. To make our escape experience more realistic, here at Breakout, Nu Sentral requires each of us to pick and assign a "character" before the game as different characters may have different "abilities". For this game, I was the "Germini" which I could clone other characters and acquire their abilities.

In the end, after much adrenaline rushes and thinking, we finally made it out! YAYY!!! It's great news! We are in the 1st place so far with a time of 40 minutes! So, come on head on to Breakout @ Nu Sentral to challenge us!

Last week, I was invited for a little mystery adventure at The Breakout, NU Sentral, where we are required to take on our first covert mission as part of the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR) under the order of Howard Stark, to investigate an off limits zone where crucial information is contained about extra- terrestrial life.

Here's a little treat for you! Breakout NU Sentral brings to you the X-Files and other hit Same Day as the U.S series as first and ONLY ever FOX themed Breakout Room in South East Asia unveiled!

Code Name: FOX is a uniquely themed room featuring elements from selected FOX HD's Same Day as the US Shows. Players can range a minimum of 2 to 8 at one time. Code Name: FOX is only available in NU Sentral Shopping Centre and it will be open to public from 23 Jan - 23 Feb 2016!

The key concept of this mission would involve blending in the elements in a fantasy world where some lines between these entities are mashed up into one big story. Players would have to play as a Heroes Reborn Character and begin mission.

In every game, you'll be given approximately an hour, which include

- Game Master's briefing and character selection ( 10-15 mins)

- The Game itself (Puzzle and mystery solving) (45 mins)

- Hints and perks ( up to 10 additional minutes)

 “Breakout is not your conventional escape room game. Our various themed rooms are individually crafted and designed to provide players with mind-boggling puzzles and tasks to be completed within 45 minutes. In line with our objective to provide a surrealistic and immersive movie-like ‘escaperience’ to our players, we are pleased to embark on this exciting collaboration with FOX International Channels, in celebrating the return of The X-Files and other popular shows.
