#Foodpost: Outdark @ SS15, Subang Jaya

As a foodie myself, I try to always hunt for foods whenever I go. For this week food hunt, my foodie friends and I was driving pass SS15, we stumbled upon this unique / container looking shop at one corner of Subang - Outdark.

As it was just in time for dinner, we decided to check out this korean eatery shop

There are some "love locks" as decorations which resembles similarities to back in Korea

As the name suggest, the ambience and the surrounding has a dim setting to it with long tables being arranged for its patrons. Be sure to come early if you're planning to visit soon! :)

Next up, here's the food that we ordered that night for dinner,

Haeudae Kimchi Jijim
RM25

Originated Outdark Chicken

If you're a fried chicken lover like myself, you'd definitely be sure you'd not want to miss this dish! This is one of my personal favourite here at Outdark, SS15. The chicken is very well marinated and fried to perfection!

The Ultimate Cheese Kingdom
RM88

The other highlights that I really love would be this "platter"! Apparently, it was mentioned by the waiter that this is a MUST TRY as many of their other patrons love this as well! This would be ideal if you're coming with 1 or 2 more friends along with you. Consist of fried chicken seasoned with Korean chilli sauce, grilled pineapple, rice and kimchi as sides.

The generous amount of cheese on this cast iron platter really made me drool as soon as it was served on the table.

Fried Korean Chicken and Ddeok-Bokki in spicy Korean sauce

The staff here showed us the way to to prepare and enjoy this cheese wrapped fried chicken. Look at the "Cheesy-ness" of it! <3

Such sin-ful but delicious proteins!

Dam Yang Beef Dbeok Galbi
RM 69

For beef lovers,  you may also opt for this dish consist of 3 generous portion of beef patty based with melted mozzarella cheese accompanied with some rice, corns and vegetables on the side.

Seafood Halmae Ddoek-bokki
RM67

Chef Choi's Hot Pot
RM65

A hot pot of mixture of fishcakes, eggs, radish, mushrooms and loads of vegetables in soy sauce broth.

Makgeoli (Left) - RM37 / Subaek Soju (right) - RM45

It's never complete dining in a Korean eatery without drinking these Korean delicacies! After all the food, we still managed to end the night with some of these delicacies!

Subaek Soju is Korea's popular party coctail drink consist of a mixture of watermelon, sprite and soju. Becareful when drinking this as this is a very interesting drink as it is sweet with just a slight hint of alcohol 🙂  Well, most often, you will find that you will be having a couple of bottoms up with this drink. The alcohol taste is completely masked by the sweetness of the watermelon, and before you know it, you will start feeling tipsy just with a few cups 😉

That's it for the night! A well spend night at Outdark! Korea food lovers looking to spend some quality time with your friends and family, this would be the place best for you to catch up and enjoy your night! The services here are great as well with the friendly staffs. Despite the price is a lil on the high side to me, nevertheless I am assured that I am getting good qualities and fresh foods when I dine here.

  1. Hi! I'm Thien Nguyen from Vietnam. Thanks so much for your sharing. It's very interesting and useful. When planning to visit Sapa, Vietnam - a poetic spot in the northern part of the country, remember to spend time going around town to buy Sapa souvenirs to bring home. These meaningful gifts can delight your beloved ones.

Hope to see you soon in Vietnam!
