Standing Smoked Chicken
 RM63

Gather Gather Kitchen boast about their Smoked Standing Chicken. Very well marinated and cooked in their own unique ways that will ensure the "smokey" flavor are infused into the chicken meat. Worth the try indeed!

Roast Curry Pork Chee Cheong Fun
RM9.50

Chee Cheong Fun served here at Gather Gather Kitchen has just the right texture mixed with the tasty curry sauce. Not forgetting the siew yeok which comes along with it is well marinated and roast to perfection! One of my few favorites here at Gather Gather Kitchen!
RECOMMENDED!!!

Hong Kong Pork Balls Mi Xian
RM10.80

For more options, they also serve this Mi Xian with 5 different toppings. Consists of meatballs, pork belly slices, corn kernels and preserved vegetables.

Dry Roast Pork Mi Xian
 RM10.80

Despite the name, this dish has a little bit of gravy/soup to gives more flavors to its noodles. One of the few COMFORT FOOD to me which reminds me of a dish my late Grandmother used to cook.

 Ginger Wine Mi Xian
RM10.80
 Roast Duck (Half Portion)
Rm32

Apart from the noodle dishes, Gather Gather Kitchen also has a range of dishes where patrons can eat alongside. I personally like the gravy drizzled on the roast duck which makes it tasty! However, perhaps it would be better if the crispiness of the duck can be preserved.

 5 Colors Egg plant
RM20 - Small
RM30 - Big

Deep Fried Lotus Roots with Salted Egg
RM16 - Small
RM18 - Medium
RM25 - Large

If you're dropping by at this place, this is definitely a MUST TRY here! I personally am a salted egg type of person. If you're also one, this will be the dish you'd never wanna miss out on! Crispiness of the lotus is preserved despite the cooking style! Totally worth it!

Before I sign off, here's my personal rating,
Ambience: Moderate ambience, comfortable. A great place for food but not a conducive place to have a catch up with your friends and family.
Food: 10/10 -Perfect!

Baby lobster and soups comes in 2 different types of cooking and choices respectively. You are free to choose your favourite and have it your way :) For baby lobster, you can choose either to baked or pan fried them to your likings while the soups you have a choice of either the Boiled Szechuan Soup or Double boiled fish maw soup. My choices would be the double boiled fish maw soup as I like the taste of the fresh seafoods which blends in very well with the soup! Szechuan soup is a tad bid too sour for me as the vinegar is added prior to serving.

You can make your reservations by booking through Tung Yuen Chinese restaurant at 03-5511 8811 ext. 2616. or through telemarketing department, ext. 2724.

FOOD: Leong's Kitchenette @ USJ 21, Subang Jaya

Recently, I got the opportunity to taste this tasty, simple and affordable home-cooked Chinese restaurant - Leong's Kitchenette @ USJ 21, Subang Jaya. I have heard many good and positive comments regarding this place. Therefore, I am very curious prior to taste the yummy-licious dishes they serve here!

It has a typical Chinese restaurant set-up to it located just around the corner of "AMPM Cafe" serving their specialty - Fried Porridge. I am already curious and tempted to try out this fried porridge just by hearing it!

Simple & Spacious looking of the interior with antique decorations around

A family business consist of the husband ( Leong), who prepares tasty dishes for you while the wife ( Joeslin), who keeps the restaurant running. Here at Leong's kitchen, they boast on serving food with Low MSG, salt and oil

Ice Lime Jelly
RM3

Great combination of sour & sweet to this drink. A refreshing drink that quenches your thirst away. With such hot and hazy weather recently, a drink like that would always be great to keep out body hydrated!

Let me start off this blog with their specialty ( in other words, MUST TRY!!!!

Specialty!!!

 Fried porridge with Mackerel
RM10.50

A comforting bowl of porridge that just satisfy your cravings for home-cooked food. Freshness of the Mackerel would be vital as it will be the key to this dish! A dish that will definitely be loved by old and young! Garnished with some spring onion, chopped ginger and sesame oil that enhances the taste of this dish! A dish that I'll definitely be back for!

 Fried porridge with Abalone slices
RM12

Another great bowl of congee! Similar to that of the Mackerel (previous dish) but replace it with abalone slices. Some chewy texture to your bowl of porridge for a change.

Fried Porridge with Salted egg & Century Egg
RM 8

 Fried Porridge with minced pork
RM6.50

Here at Leong's Kitchenette, they are also known for their big mud crab which has so much meat in them!

 Salt Baked Crabs

Honestly, this is one of the best salted baked crabs i've ever tasted! Marinated and baked to perfection up to the extend that the saltiness of the marination can be tasted in the flesh of the crab! One of the dishes I would definitely be back again for!

 Milky Spicy Crab
RM65/KG
(PROMOTION!!!)

Those who are a fan of Milky, buttery, and spicy crabs, this would be just the dish for you! The sauce was just so addictive! Fortunately, they also serve "man tao" with dipping sauce to go with for you to enjoy and savour the delicious-ness of the gravy!

Totally loving this soft "Mantaos". Deep fried till golden brown that goes well with the spicy butter sauce! I assure you'd definitely ask for more after your first bite!

Spicy Butter sauce

Main Dishes

 Asam Squid
RM22

A savoury dish with the squids cooked to tender-fection. Not only that, the accompanied sauce was just so appetizing! I could even eat 2 bowls of rice with just this 1 dish. The sauce wasn't too spicy nor too sour, it was just perfect that compliments well with the squids.

 Salted egg stir-fried french beans
RM10 - Small
RM14 - Large

 Pumpkin Homemade Tau foo
RM22

I have always love Claypot tau foo and this dish has some similarity to it with the pumpkin gravy making the base. Topped with some seafoods and straw mushrooms which give it a little extra bites to it!

Hong Kong Style Chicken Wings
RM22

Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside yet flavourful fried chicken wings! Best eaten just like that without any sauces with it.

 Curry Fish Head
RM22 - Small
RM32 - Large

Fish head curry at a very affordable price! Served in a claypot with variety of vegetables, and not forgetting the Fish head! The taste was good with a great combination and balance of spices of curry.

A great place for family and group gatherings/meal. Serve great food with affordable pricing. Do check out this place if you're around that area!
