Here are some Buns & Breads that are available here!

Cranberry Cheese
RM3.60

This was the best i had here! As a cheese lover myself, I personally likes this a lot as it has a very rich & "cheesy" taste from the cream cheese inside. The cranberry was a perfect compliment to the cream cheese. Besides, the inside is really fluffy and soft too!

 Butter Croissant
RM3.80

A crispy piece of croissant. However, I would personally prefer it to be more buttery. The texture and the crispy-ness of it was perfect!

 Mini Pizza
RM5.90

Spring Lady
RM3.80

As the name suggest, this has a lot of spring onions which gives the aroma to this bread. Filled with also mayonnaise and cheese!

 Amazing Chestnut
RM3.80

Fruity Red Bean Banana
RM2.80

Caramelized Apple Bun
RM3.40

I personally likes this bun a lot for its filled with raisins and apple fillings at the same time not overpowering the fragrant smell from the freshly baked caramelized sugar.

Buns we had that night

It has always been a great idea to gushes down pastries with a cup of coffee :)

Mocha
RM8.80

Cappuccino

If you're coming here with a group of friend/family and are looking for a platter to share among yourselves, this could be the platter for you!

Here at Haru Japanese Bakery Cafe, they also do serve pasta for those pasta lovers!

Wafu Mentai Spaghetti
RM 14.80

However, personally, I do not really favor the pastas served here as they are a tad bit too hard to my liking. But hey! it's again very individualistic :)

Squid Ink Pasta
RM16.80

Aglio-olio pasta
RM13.80

Carbonara Spaghetti
RM14.80

Haru Omelette Brekkie

Looking for something cheesy to satisfy your daily dose of cravings? This should be it! Made of imported cheddar, mozarella, and emental cheese. This dish has a choice between mushroom, sausage or chicken ham to your likings!

Next but not least, the HIGHLIGHT of the night! May I present to you
Haru Shibuya Dessert Toast!

Go Banana
RM 15.50

Served with Crispy Haru Toast topped with chantilly pastry cream, vanilla ice cream, banana & lastly drizzled over with chocolate sauce. This is a great dessert for those who loves chocolate and banana! By the way, chocolate and banana almost always goes along very well! I particularly like the chantilly cream served as it combines and compliments the dessert very well without being too sweet.

Mary Berry
RM 18.50

This is the most popular dessert here at Haru Japanese Bakery Cafe, it is served with crispy Haru Toast topped with chantilly pastry cream, vanilla ice cream, generous portion of mixed berries and rasberries! The Haru toast here has a very fragrant buttery aroma to it which gives the dessert something "extra" compared to others in the market ( no names shall be mentioned :) ) However, I personally feels that perhaps a scoop of strawberry ice cream would make this dessert even better!

Hary Japanese Bakery Cafe serves one of the most affordable yet tasty buns & breads I've discovered. A great place to hangout and chill with family and friends! I will definitely suggest to come back again for the pastries and desserts!

Till next time, See you!

FOOD: La Cafe Memoire @ Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI), Kuala Lumpur

Some fun facts about ME:

I have always love desserts and always on the lookout for new and good dessert spots around.

Last weekend, my foodie peeps and I was invited for a review with La Cafe Memoire @ TTDI, Kuala Lumpur. I was curious and anticipating to what this cafe has got. Just by the name of this cafe, I was already imagining that this would be a cafe with a romantic and comfortable place to hangout with my friends and family!

Did the place met or matches with what I thought it would be? Please let the pictures below do the talking and you judge! HAHA!

As you can see from the picture above, La Cafe Memoire has a very distinctive wooden furnishing which are made up of recycled crates. The owner/mastermind Brian Liew and his partner has brought out the creative initiation in them to plan and to redesign these into functional tables and chairs/stools.

Some of the antique decorations around the place

La Cafe Memoire has started out as dessert specialty cafe which only serves coffee and desserts. However, due to popular demand for savoury food, it has recently introduce a couple of dishes which my foodies and I had the opportunity to review

Here's some of the food that we had,

Smoked Duck Salad

This dish consist of cucumber, lettuce, cherries tomatoes, oranges, and of course not forgetting the fragrantly pan fried smoked duck drizzled over with some special balsamic vinegar and olive oil which gives it's slight sourish taste to it. A refreshing dish to prepare you tummy for dinner!

 Seafood Aglio-Olio
 ( Spaghetti - RM15 / Handmade Fettuccini - RM18)

A rather spicy (I love it!) dish due to the chilli flakes added to it. It is cooked with a range of fresh seafoods like mussels, prawns, squids, and some capsicum.

 Japanese Curry Fettuccini (RM17.50)

I personally love this La Cafe Memoire version of Japanese Curry pasta as its 'drier' and not too much gravy in it. It is cooked with diced chicken, chopped carrots and onions. We were also told that the chef added a small amount of brandy to this which brings out the unique flavour! Try it and you'll know what I meant.

Creamy Bacon Pasta (RM14)

Homemade daily Fettuccini cooked with pan fried bacon and drizzled with creamy mushroom garlic sauce which compliments so well!

Signature Pork Chop

This dish is marinated with special mongolian sauce before frying. Served with a generous portion of mashed below for a complete and satisfy meal!

 Deluxe Burger (RM18.50)

Homemade deluxe pork patty, pan fried bacon, sunny side up, salad, tomatoes slices, and cheese wrapped with either charcoal or plain buns of your choice! On a side note, the fries here are air-fried which means no oils is used and most importantly, it's healthier!

 Mussels and fries

La Cafe Memoire will also be introducing some new food/items in the coming month! We had the opportunity to review one of it which is the Pork Bacon Pizza! Do check out this place soon!

 Pork Bacon Pizza

Made from Napoli dough which has a similar texture to 'naan'. This dough is chewier on the side which will give you the extra bites that you've been craving for! Consist of pork bacon, onions, cherry tomatoes, sprinkled with cheddar and mozzarella cheese topped with a slight chilli flakes to add some kick to this dish!

To end our session, of course it will be a must to have some desserts. Here's some of it that we had,

 Mango Coconut Tart

This in-house made flower-looking decorated mango tart with its base using butter tart for some extra bites, filled with cream and topped with sliced mango 'susu' and coconut bits. For those mango lovers, this might just be the desserts you've been looking for!

 Tiramisu ( MUST TRY!!!!)

Homemade tiramisu topped with almonds, hazelnuts and caramelized nuts which gives salty and nutty feel to this dessert. You'll fall in love with it right from the first bite!

Nutty Bacon Sundae ( MUST TRY!!!)

A rather unique dessert i've ever tried! Bacon with ice cream? Are you serious?

Trust me! These bacons compliments tremendously well! Consist of vanilla ice cream that can fix your sweet tooth, bacon strip and caramel sauce which gives you the salty element in this. This perfect blend of sweet and salty will make you crave for more in no time!

As you "approach" towards the bottom of the glass, you will find some sour calamansi sorbet that will give your taste buds a whole new experience!

Last but not least, I've also managed to try the Cafe Alexzander!

Cafe Alexzander

Consists of Double espresso, cacao brown, and hazelnut syrup served cold. I find this bitter-sweet blend very unique where I can find no where else.

Great FOOD Great AMBIANCE! With mandarin-language pop songs playing in the background, I would definitely recommend/suggest this place for any future family and friends gatherings. Finally, a very special thanks to La Cafe Memoire for hosting such "yummy-licious" session to us!
