Sri Petaling has always been my to-go place especially when I'm looking for a place to fill my tummy. At times, me and my friends would just drive around Sri Petaling to look for new places/restaurants to try. Recently, we found out this newly opened restaurant
10 Years Restaurant
The entrance for Ten Years Restaurant
If you're driving around Sri Petaling, you'd probably would not miss this place too as it is brightly lit in the evening.
Ten Years Restaurant aims to preserve the Malaysian cuisine for the later generations and at the same time to allow it patrons to enjoy the best of Malaysia cuisine under one roof ranging from the Char Kuey Teow of Pulau Pinang to Tawau's Nasi Kuning.
Ten Years aims to preserve and promote this original and '1st generation' taste as many of the younger generations does not want to take over the business from their parents, shares founders Victor Bong.
Tiger Char Kuey Teow
RM15.90
Penang has always been famous for a few dishes and Char Kuey Teow is one of the main one! Now with Ten Years, Penangites that is working here at Klang Valley can now feel at home.
Look at those fresh, juicy and lumpy prawns served on top of the Kuey Teows, sprout, egg and chives. I like how the portion size is served here at Ten Years with the price. "Wok-hei" is an important factor in this dish as it will be the deciding factor to whether or not it has the kick to it.
Nasi Lemak Jalan 223 (Kak Yati's Nasi Lemak)
RM18.90
If you're a local around Klang Valley, you'll surely hear rumours about this infamous plate of Nasi Lemak at Petaling Jaya. Served with generous portion of peanuts and crispy anchovies, hard-boiled egg, keropok and the hot coconut milk rice. The sambal served is tad bit too sweet for me as I like my Nasi Lemak to have more of the spicy-ness rather than sweet.
I personally likes this chicken a lot! Very well marinated and the moisture inside is maintained.
Nasi Dagang Kak Pah
RM18.90
Originated from Terengganu, it's famous for it's record breaking of selling out within 3 hours of business. This can easily be one of the best nasi dagang in Terengganu which you can have it here at Ten Years Restaurant
Ikan Ayer (Tuna)
A chunky piece of fish that goes well together with nasi dagang.
T&T Prawn Mee
RM16.90
With its 50 years of history and legacy of good bowl of prawn mee over 2 generations, brought to you at Ten Years Restaurant. Served with hard-boiled egg, sprouts, 2 big fresh prawns, topped with fried shallots. With this, there's more reason for Penangite to come try this place out!
Nancy Kitchen Nyonya Laksa
RM19.90
Kak Tum Nasi Kuning
RM19.90
Ayam Masak Merah
Another legacy that has already in the market for over 20 years. Served with perfectly cooked yellow rice, keropok, sunny side up, and spicy-sweet anchovies as sides.
Rojak Kepong Baru
RM12.90
Shun Fa Restaurant Chicken Rice
RM19.90
Another Malaysian's All-Time favourite! Served with roasted chicken, stewed egg & tofu. This is just how us as Malaysians likes our chicken rice to be.
Roasted Chicken
Shun Fa has been selling chicken rice ever since 1975 located at Jalan Imbi. Many that stays around Klang Valley would definitely heard or even tried this out. The chicken is marinated and roast to perfection while maintaining the moisture in the meat at the same time flavourful.
