Event: Freeport A'Famosa Outlet, Malacca

Recently, I was fortunate enough to attend the opening of Freeport A'Famosa Outlet. Located next to the historical A'famosa which is today a major touorist landmark in Malaysia. It boast an International championship golf course, the Water World Theme Park, Animal World Safari, Cowboy Town, Resort Hotel, Condotel and Villas.

Now, it's even better with the recently opened Freeport A'Famosa Outlet. It is now a more complete holiday destination catering to all different ages.

During the opening, celebrity bloggers such as Xandria Ooi, Bangsar Babe, Heidi and Nanabwincess were also invited to witness the ever happening outlet here at A'Famosa and to share some shopping tips with us :)

Take Home shopping tips that I got from the day:

1. It's always good to shop during SALES! especially when you're on a tight budget.
2. Invest on clothing which is versatile and practical.

40 lucky bloggers were picked and chosen to be given the privilege participate in the "Style on a Shoestring Contest". The 40 bloggers were divided into 2 groups namely the " Stylish" and the "Casual". We were given RM 350 and 2 hours of shopping time to style ourselves according to our theme.

Here's what I have:

Blue Denim Shirt + Brown Shorts from Cotton On: RM78
Shoes from Clarks: RM200

Freeport A'Famosa Outlet has officially opens its door to eager bargain hunting customers on the 5th December 2015. The outlet village offers over 60 fashion, sport and accessories brands in some 180,000 sq. ft. The outlet is set in an open air mall featuring a lake, fountains, carousel and windmill with architecture loosely themed on Malacca's Dutch heritage.

The outlet is located close by the Alor Gajah toll on the North-South Expressway making it easily accessible for its patrons. The outlet provides more than 1,500 free car parking spaces.

Brands open at the centre include Nike, Cotton On, Esprit, PUMA, G2000, Carlo Rino, Clarks, Forever 21, Samsonite, Folli Follie, Sacoor Brothers and new brands will be open in the coming weeks. Phase II offering another 40 shops is expected in 2016.

The village follows the success of outlet centres in Johor Bahru and another near KLIA airport which have demonstrated that the outlet concept is a big hit with the Malaysian Shopper. The Freeport A'Famosa is a joint venture between UK based outlet specialist Freeport Retail Ltd and Langkah Sdn Bhd, the owners of the adjacent A'Famosa Resort.

With the opening of Freeport A'Famosa Outlet @ Malacca, we can easily keep up with the current fashion without having to burn a "hole" in our pocket! However, if you're planning to come visit over this weekend, I would personally suggest you to come early before the crowd :)

but Hey!
